Our flock of 28 laying hens and 7 roosters includes a mixture of brown egg layers and the Ameracauna easter egg laying breed.  The brown egg layers include Black Australorp, Buff Orpington, Rhode Island Red, New Hampshire and Cinnamon Queen.

Our chickens roost at night and lay eggs in a movable chicken coop, but have free range of the entire farm during the daytime.  We feed them, as well as our broilers, a supplemental grain mixture of corn, oats, soybean meal, cottonseed meal and a vitamin premix.
