Pastured Chickens
In the spring and fall, we grow pasture-raised, all natural, cornish cross broilers. For the first two weeks, the chicks are kept in brooders and fed a chick starter. For the remaining six weeks, they reside in chicken tractors, which are moved to new grass daily. They are also fed a supplemental grain mixture of corn, oats, soybean meal, cottonseed meal and a vitamin premix.
Projected butchering dates for 2011:
We currently have frozen chickens available from our Spring batch. Please call for delivery or pick-up.
